Ruby Rana was born on 22 September 1972 in Dehradun, India. Ruby Rana was crowned as Miss Nepal 1994 on 20 September 1994 and She completed on Miss Asia Pacific 1994 on 24 November 1994.
In her initial days of modelling, for her livelihood, she was a primary teacher in Gyan Jyoti Secondary Boarding School, Birgunj, Nepal. After she was crowned as a Miss Nepal, she came in many of the Ad. She studied in Thakur Ram Multiple College Bigunj.
